Date of issue: December 20, 2012 Face value: 100 tenge Mamluk «Sultan Baybars» was a Turk and Sultan of Egypt. Hewas known for successful wars in Palestine and Syria against the Mongol Ilkhanids and European crusaders. Obverse: gilded image of State Emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan, number «100» and inscription «TENGE» indicate face value of the coin, trade mark of Kazakhstan Mint, the image of the soldier skipping on a horse, number «2012» indicates the year of coinage; inscriptions are divided by points. Reverse: the image of the great commander Sultan Baybars on a horse, against a stylized collage of east style buildings and battling soldiers; «Ag 925 "31,1g." means metal, standard of coinage and weight; numbers «1223-1277» indicating years of life of the commander; inscriptions are divided by dots. Imprints and legends on the face and reverse sides of the coin are relief. Lateral surface is grooved. Metal: Ag 925. Weight: 31.1 g. Weight is indicated without coverage. Diameter: 38.61 mm.
