If you want to see, the picture of the backside, just mail to: collectitcoins@outlook.com And ask for backside; 346 ------------------------------- Havana Cathedral (full name: Catedral de la Virgen María de la Concepción Inmaculada de La Habana = Cathedral of the Virgin Mary of the Immaculate Conception) At start of 1700 Jesuit priors wanted to build a church, but the general procurator denied the permission on 1704. Finally, at end of 1721, permission was granted by Real Cedula (Royal Order), and 1727 was fixed the place to build. On 1767 the college was completed, but not the church, and then occurred the expulsion of the Jesuits, from the New World. On 1778 started the final part of the construction. The central room of the Cathedral was occupied by a funerary memorial of Cristobal Colon (Discoverer of America and Cuba); then when the colonial period ended, the Almirant's ashes were translated first to Santo Domingo, and later to Seville Cathedral.
