Ernesto Guevara de la Serna ("Che") was an Argentinian medicine doctor, nationalized Cuban, just after completing his career, traveled through South and Central America, and was impacted by poverty, disease and hunger he found. He thought reason was the capitalist exploitation on Latin America, by the U.S. and other main capitalist countries, and decided to help lower sections of society, by helping socialist revolutions.
Joined Castro for their Cuban Revolution ending 1959. Was president of the National Bank of Cuba after Revolution success, but his desire was continue fighting at other countries to help other similar revolutions, participated on the unsuccessful rebellion at Congo-Kinshasha, and later went to Bolivia, where was captured by Bolivian forces, assisted by CIA, and was executed in summary way.
The world-wide known picture "Guerrillero Heroico" was taken by Alberto Korda during the funerals of the "Le Couvre" victims, the vessel that exploded at Havana port.
