Circulation coin of 10 Som denomination In accordance with Article 4, 15, 16 and 18 of the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic” and Regulation of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic’s Board "On issue of coins 10 Som" №46/1 from November 18, 2009 the coin of 10 Som is issued from Decemder 1, 2009 at the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic. The circulation coin of 10 som denomination is made of steel core covered by nickel. On the obverse side of the coin there is an image of “kookor”, a traditional Kyrgyz leather container for the national drink – kymyz. The "kookor" image contains a symbol of "tumar" represented by a triangle; “tumar” is widely used in various Kyrgyz patterns. On the reverse side of the coin there is the Coat of Arms of the Kyrgyz Republic and the year of issue.
