Poland 20 Zlotych 2009 65th Anniversary of the Liquidation of the Lodz Ghetto

Obverse: At the top right side there is the image of the eagle from the official national emblem of the Republic of Poland. Below, against a stylised image of a brick wall, there is an inscription 20 ZŁ. On the left side there is a stylised image of an oak branch. Inside the rim there is an inscription: RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA and the year of issue: 2009. There is the mint mark under the eagle’s left leg: M/W. Reverse: Image of the Star of David in the crown of an oak tree image. A semicircular inscription at the top: 65. ROCZNICA LIKWIDACJI. At the bottom there is the image of a barbed wire fence. Above it there is an inscription: GETTA W ŁODZI. Coin designer: Ewa Tyc-Karpińska
