The Guard Cavalrymen is the most famous squad of the Polish soldiers of the Napoleon era. The regiment of the light cavalrymen was created in April 1807 by the decree of the Napoleon and was incorporated in the Napoleon’s Imperial Guard. The candidates deriving from the land owners had to but, at their own expense, a horse, uniform and weapons. Initially, the light cavalrymen were armed with a cavalry sword, carbines and pistols. Between 1809 and 1810, they were equipped with lances and the regiment was renamed into The Lance Cavalrymen of the Imperial Guard.
The regiment distinguished itself in the battles of the Napoleon Wars, the battle of Wagram, Berezina and Waterloo among others

At the top, to the left, the image of an eagle established for the national emblem of the Republic of Poland. In the center stylized images of the elements of uniforms and weaponry of the light cavalryman. At the bottom an inscription: RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA (REPUBLIC OF POLAND), over the eagle the mark of the issue year: 2010. Under the left foot of the eagle a symbol of the mint: M/W.
Reverse:
