Obverse:
In the central part there is the image of an eagle established as the emblem of the Republic of Poland. On the right there is an inscription: 2 ZŁ. At the top there is a semicircular inscription: RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA and the year of issue: 2007. Below the eagle there is an image of a fragment of the town wall with merlons and an open gate with a lifted portcullis visible in the background. There is the mint mark under the eagle’s left leg.
Reverse:
The image of the Royal Castle in Piotrków Trybunalski. At the top, on the left there is a magnified image of the Jagiellon’s Eagle placed on the castle wall. On the left there is a semicircular inscription: PIOTRKÓW and on the right there is a semicircular inscription: TRYBUNALSKI. On the edge: The inscription NBP repeated eight times. Every second inscription is inverted 180 degrees and separated with stars.
