Ukraine 2 Hryvni 2008 - Yevhen Petrushevych

The coin is dedicated to Yevhen Petrushevych (1863 – 1940), a Ukrainian lawyer, a figure of the Ukrainian national-liberation movement in Halychyna, one of the founders of the Western-Ukrainian Peoples Republic, chairman of the Ukrainian National Council, the parliament of the republic (actually, the WUPR president On the coin reverse there is a portrait of Yevhen Petrushevych, on the right: 1863/1940, his years of life, on the left - the lion of Halych and beneath there is a semicircular inscription: ЄВГЕН ПЕТРУШЕВИЧ (Yevhen Petrushevych). On the coin obverse in the centre there is the small National Emblem of Ukraine, underneath – 2008, the coin mintage year; around the coin circumference there are inscriptions: НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ (National Bank of Ukraine) (above), ДВІ ГРИВНІ (two Hrivnias) (beneath) and the logotype of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine.
