Ukraine 2 Hryvni 2004 - Maria Zankovetska

The coin is dedicated to 150th birth anniversary of Maria Zankovetska, an outstanding actress, public figure, one of the founders of the Ukrainian National theatre and the first People` artist of Ukraine (1923) On the coin reverse in the foreground there is a portrait of Maria Zankovetska; in the background there is a stylized floral ornamental pattern; on the left around the circumference there is an inscription: МАРІЯ ЗАНЬКОВЕЦЬКА (Maria Zankovetska) and beneath - 1854-1934, her years of life. On the coin obverse against the smooth background there is the small National Emblem of Ukraine and inscriptions: УКРАЇНА (Ukraine) (above) and 2 ГРИВНІ (2 hryvnia) / 2004 (beneath); in the centre there is a depiction of a stylized flower; on the right this composition is framed with a stage curtain. On the coin obverse there is also the Mint logotype of the National Bank of Ukraine.
