Ukraine 2 Hryvni 2004 Black Sea harbour porpoise (Phocoena phocoena relicta)

The coin is dedicated to a mammalian of cetacean species, a representative of the dolphin family in the fauna of Ukraine, a narrow-areal relic subspecies, the habitat of which is the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov. Azov Dolphin is on the endangered-species list of Ukraine and into the European Red-List. On the coins reverse there are two Azov Dolphins are depicted with air bubbles in the water, beneath - there is a seaweeds and circular inscriptions: АЗОВКА (Azov Dolphin) (right) and PHOECENA PHOECENA RELICTA ABEL (left). On the coin obverse set in the wreath made of images of plants and animals there is engraved the small National Emblem of Ukraine and a legend: on the coin made of German silver there is an inscription: УКРАЇНА, 2, ГРИВНІ, 2004 (Ukraine/ 2/ hryvnia/ 2004), as well as the logotype of the NBU Mint is depicted
