Ukraine Hryvnia 2001 - National Arms, With mintmark

1 hryvnia coin put into circulation on 12 March 1997 On the coin obverse there the Small Coat of Arms framed on both sides with an ornament of two oak leaves and two ears of wheat. Above the Coat of Arms there is the legend УКРАЇНА (UKRAINE) with the year of issue (1995, 1996, 2001, 2002, 2003) thereunder. Starting from 2001, the logo of the NBU Mint has been placed on the coin obverse. There is a prominent rim all over the perimeter. The images and legends are raised. The coin denomination is engraved in the centre of the reverse in the form of the figure 1 and the legend ГРИВНЯ. On either side of the figure 1 there is the symmetrical ornament of conventionalized fronds. There is a prominent rim all over perimeter. The images and legends are raised.
