Ukraine 2 Hryvni 1999 - Freedom from Nazi Occupation

The coin is dedicated to commemorate 55 Years of liberation of Ukraine from Nazis, to honour those people who took part in military operation, disabled veterans of the war of 1941-1945, labour veterans, to remember the blessed memory of those perished in the struggle against fascism. On the coin reverse there is a depiction of a laurel spray - symbol of glory, blade of a sword, salute stars and the inscription: 55, РОКІВ, ВИЗВОЛЕННЯ, УКРАЇНИ, ВІД ФАШИСТСЬКИХ, ЗАГАРБНИКІВ (55 / Years/ of Liberation/ of Ukraine/ from Fascist/ Invaders) On the coin obverse there is depicted the small National Emblem of Ukraine framed with wheatears and the semicircular inscriptions: УКРАЇНА, 2 ГРИВНІ, 1999.
