The inscription along the rim: "ЯКУБ КОЛАС" (YAKUB KOLAS). in the center - the view of the Cupolas of the Cathedral of Interession on the Moat and the Saviour's Tower, above it to the left - the two-headed eagle, under it to the right - the mint trademark. The inscriptions along the rim: at the top — «БАНК РОССИИ» (BANK OF RUSSIA), at the bottom in tree lines — "1 РУБЛЬ" "1992" (1 RUBLE 1992). Yakub Kolas (Konstantin Mikhailovich Mickiewicz, 1882-1956), - a Belorussian writer, people's poet of Belorrussia (1926) and member (1928) and vice president (1929) of the Belorussian Academy of Sciences. His collection of verses ("Songs of Captivity" and "Songs of Grief"), poems ("The New Land" and "Simon the Musician"), plays and stories are deeply rooted in national tradition. The artist: A.V.
